Phillip Dean Hopkins, 84, longtime Sedan, Kansas resident, died Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Sedan.
He was born at the family home near Monett, Kansas on June 18, 1940, the son of Doyle and Minnie Morgan Hopkins. Phillip was raised in the Sedan area and graduated from Peru High School.
He loved horses and had worked as a farrier, shoeing horses for several years. Phillip had also been in the logging business.
Survivors include his son Vince Hopkins of Copan, Oklahoma and brother George Hopkins of Sedan.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dale and Dennis Hopkins; and sister Donna Cummings.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
