Sandra J. Bittinger
1946---2024

Sandra J. Bittinger, 78, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at her home.

Born July 13, 1946 in Batesville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Barre) Rogian. Sandra was raised and received her education in Indiana.

She married Ramon Bittinger in 1965 in Shelbyville, Indiana where the couple made their home. To this union, seven children were born. The couple later divorced. While in Indiana, Sandy worked as a waitress at Stardust.

In 1984, she moved with her family to Winfield, Kansas. In 1998, she met the love of her life, Lewis Alberding. Sandy worked for many years as a bartender at the American Legion and the VFW in Winfield.

She was a member of Tisdale Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing word searches, going to the casino, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.

Her family includes her companion of over 25 years, Lewis Alberding of Winfield; her children, Kim Littrell and husband, Justin of Burden; Regina Small and husband, Roy of Winfield; Rhonda Russell and husband, Bryan of Shell Knob, MO; Jenny Bittinger of Winfield; Crystal Satterlee and husband, Scott of Winfield; her siblings, Arthur Michael Rogian and wife, Linda of Cambridge, MN; Jackie Nasby and husband, Kermit of Shelbyville, IN; Stephen Rogian and wife, Donna of Waldo, AR; Mary Bremer and husband, Derek of Michigan; her grandchildren, Tate and D’sha Bittinger, Beau and Brittney Samms, Ryan Mortimer and partner, Megan Beeson, Travis Alberding and partner, Adina, Dustin and Katie Littrell, Allie Neubecker, Heather and Mike Kellum, Taylor Packard, and Tanner and Chandler Bittinger; and many great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by brothers, Mike Rogian, Greg Rogian, Mark Rogian, sisters, Vickie Rogian, Linda Rogian, Debbie Norton, daughter Angie Neubecker and son Nicholas Bittinger.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

Memorials have been established in Sandra’s name for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3544 or for the Winfield Isle of Lights. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
