Sandra Jean Murray, 82, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Wednesday evening, January 8, 2025, at William Newton Hospital.
Born August 18, 1942, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Marion Wayne and Edith H. (Engle) Keely. She was raised and received her education in Udall. Sandra worked as a janitor beginning at Udall High School. Following retirement, she went to work as a janitor for the Udall Nazarene Church
She married Jack Murray in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The couple made their home in Udall. Jack preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. Sandra enjoyed crocheting and playing Sudoku. She loved to bowl when she was younger and able. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo.
Her family includes her children, Mariella (Mike) Davis of Wichita; Leslie Davis of Udall; Cindy (Warren) McDaniel of San Augustine, TX; Jay Dee Keen of Michigan; her sister Sharon Lee (Irvin) Felger of Indiana; William Walter (Marcia) Keely of Arkansas City; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by an infant brother, a sister Patty Jo Hedden, a granddaughter Victoria Keen, and a great granddaughter Ariana Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Miles Funeral Service. Viewing will be held prior to the service beginning at 9 A.M. Private interment will take place at Udall Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Sandra’s name for the Udall High School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
