Sherry Lynn Raub, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025 surrounded by her family, at her home in Arkansas City, KS.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday September 16th at 11 AM at First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City. Memorials may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.

Sherry was born on March 21, 1947, in Arkansas City to parents Jess and Geraldine (Sickler) Pingry. She attended Ark City High School. Sherry worked at Woolworth’s when it first opened in Ark City then, at Taco Tico. She was married to Donald “Donnie” Sivils on February 5, 1976 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Ark City, and they later divorced and he preceded her in death in 2008. Sherry dedicated her life to being a homemaker for her family. She was an active craftswoman, creating Native American jewelry, beadwork, and earrings, as well as crocheting and painting. She also enjoyed collecting dreamcatchers. Sherry loved country music and frequented the local powwows and hoedowns, going to many senior citizen dances as well as monthly Bible studies. She was a member of the Tops organization. Above all, family was her pride and joy.

Sherry is survived by her children, Kelly Wentling (Dave), Eddie Raub (April), David Sivils (Jamie), Trish Sivils (William), 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy Pingry.
