Steven Chris Bellew, 73, of Winfield, KS passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. Graveside services with military honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.
Steven was born February 9, 1952 in El Dorado, KS to parents William and Mabel (Cox) Bellew. Steven served proudly as a Marine from 1970-1972. He was a skilled welder and worked at Heater Tech in Ponca City, Struthers Thermo-Flood Corp. in Winfield, and Strother Manufacturing in Strother Field. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, going to the café for coffee and catching up with his best friend Bob Bolander, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie Bellew, children Steve and Casey Bellew, Christy and Jim Veale, and Travis and Natasha Bellew, grandchildren: Chyanne, Kaitlyn, Tobie, Abbigail, Beau, Alyssa Marie, Makala, Hannah, Alyssa Jo, Logan, Lucas, and Alaura, great-grandchildren: Brinley, Saylor, Sean, Ellie, Cora, Callie, Ainsley, Carter, and Clara, and brother David Bellew. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Cathy Gerlets.
