Steven Lyle Kline, 69, of Haysville, Kansas, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on January 18, 1956, in Wichita, Steven was raised and attended school in his hometown, where he built a life rooted in kindness and a love for his family. For many years, he worked on the production line at the Dr. Pepper plant in Wichita.
Steven’s life was unfortunately not without challenges. He faced a difficult early life and lived with disabilities, yet he never allowed this adversity to define him. Instead, he met each day with a cheerful smile. His joy was contagious, and his gentle spirit touched all who knew him. Anyone who knew Steven knew that music was one of his greatest loves, bringing him comfort and happiness throughout his life. He also enjoyed collecting coins and browsing second-hand stores, always on the lookout for hidden treasures.
Steven will be remembered most for his kind heart and his ability to find joy in simple moments. His laughter, warmth, and smile will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his son, Billy (Thelma) Tennant of Wichita; step-daughter, Melissa (Lewis) Zadoka of Wichita; brothers Michael Kline (Michelle LaForest) of Wichita and Lofton (Pam) Kline of Austin, Texas; sisters Debra Vedder (Steve Benewiat) of Lorraine, Kansas, and Lori (Mike) Parret of Wichita; granddaughters Alexis Ramos and Gabriella Diveley; five great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hart Wingard; father, Kenneth Lyle Kline; two brothers, Terry and Chris Kline; and grandparents John Hart, Freda Belle Cop, Oscar Leatherman, Claude and Beatrice Kline.
A viewing will be held at Affordable Cremations Plus, 7920 West Kellogg Drive, Suite 200, in Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas.
