Tony Edwin Marlar
1959 - 2025

Tony Edwin Marlar, 65, of Cedar Vale, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, June 30, 2025, at the Sedan City Hospital.

He was born August 20, 1959 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He attended grade school at McCord, then attended East Junior High, and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1977. In high school, he was in FFA, took welding classes, and showed steers. He went to work at Conoco Oil Company for several years until beginning his career with Rubbermaid in 1995.

He was united in marriage to Rachelle “Sissy” Jarboe on June 12, 2005, in Winfield, Kansas. Tony remained at Rubbermaid for over 29 years, retiring August of 2024. He spent Wednesday nights for Fellowship at Clay’s. His hobbies included hunting, target practice, and watching the deer at his feeders from his recliner in the living room. He also enjoyed Poker Runs on his Harley Davidson. Tony and Rachelle went on an Alaskan cruise in June of 2022. They also took a trip on the Harley to Yellowstone, Utah, and Colorado.

Tony is survived by his wife Rachelle Marlar; his parents, Nancy and Clarence Marlar; his sons, Jess Marlar and fiance, Rhonda; Jaden Voss and wife, Julie; Jevyn Voss and wife, Gaby; his daughter JaeLee Voss; his sister Teresa Black; his grandchildren, Jolie Marlar, Cooper Voss, and Lilly Voss; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Cedar Vale under the direction of Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Cedar Vale Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Tony’s name for the Cedar Vale/Dexter Trap Team. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
