Troy W. Hadley, 59, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Troy was born May 28, 1966, in Greensburg, Kansas. He was the son of Jerry Winston Hadley, and Shirley (Harding) and Gary Donley. He was raised and received his education in Mullinville, Kansas, Seiling, Woodward, and Mooreland, Oklahoma. He graduated from Mullinville High School in 1984. While in school, he played on the football team. Following high school, Troy attended Southwestern College on a football scholarship.
He was united in marriage to Anita M. Sevick on June 15, 1985 at the First Baptist Church in Winfield. In 1987, Troy joined the United States Army and he and Anita traveled the world with his military career. They were stationed in Germany, Fort Knox, Korea, and Fort Riley. After his honorable discharge, the couple returned to Winfield. Troy made his career as a truck driver, working primarily for Price Trucking and later for AC Warehouse.
He attended Calvary Chapel in Arkansas City. He enjoyed driving around town with his dog Timon, for hours every day. He also enjoyed OU Football, KU Basketball, and stock car racing. He loved his family and enjoyed chauffeuring them around town, and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
His family includes his wife Anita Hadley of Winfield; his daughters, April Spengler and husband, Payton of Winfield; Megan Hadley and husband, Cliff David of Winfield; his dad Gary Donley of Mooreland, OK; his mother-in-law Wanda Sevick of Winfield; his siblings, Alisa Holloway of Mooreland, OK; Dustin Donley and wife, Sonya of Mooreland, OK; Garrett Donley of Woodward, OK; his sisters-in-law Chryl Horton of Winfield; Linda Jones of Winfield; Dawna Banning of Arkansas City; his grandchildren, Maesyn Hadley, Addisyn Spengler, Jacob Spengler, Annie Spengler, Ayda Spengler, Parker Spengler, Joel Spengler, and Victoria Spengler; his dog Timon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father Jerry Hadley and mother Shirley Donley, Troy was preceded in death by a daughter Sarah Hadley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 that evening.
