William Donald Alberts
1988-2026

William Donald Alberts, 37, of Wichita, KS passed away February 21, 2026, due to unknown circumstances.
He was born on December 30, 1988, in Winfield, KS. William was raised in the Winfield, Arkansas City, and Moline, KS areas and attended school in Arkansas City, Winfield, and Howard, KS. William worked mostly in construction and more recently for a tree service.
William was a rebel from the start; he liked living his life doing what made him happy. He was always on the go and liked to stay active; he was passionate about staying fit and working out and enjoyed boxing and riding dirt bikes. He was a free spirit with endless energy.
Growing up, some of his proudest moments were being a member of the Webelos Scouts and playing baseball. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews when they were young. He had a soft spot for young children, and had a deep bond with his dog, Eclipse, who will miss William deeply.
William is survived by his father Billy Alberts (Cindy Alberts) of Moline, KS, and his mother, Alice Waldrop (Bill Waldrop) of Douglass, KS; his sisters, Elizabeth Alberts and Paige (Traffas) Saenz; stepsisters, Aurora Darnell and Melinda Joseph; stepbrothers Tim DeHamer and Brandon DeHamer; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William Bee Johnson, Ruth Emma Johnson, William Douglas Alberts, Regina Ann Alberts, his uncle Jimmy Denny, and his aunt Sue Norton.
Celebration of life services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2026 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.
