Family Life Services Executive Director Marlana Mills stopped by the KSOK/Bob FM studios Tuesday morning to talk about the Ark City organization, its focus on advising women on how to go through a healthy pregnancy and the struggles some pregnant women face — especially in terms of housing, support and economic hardship.
According to its website, Family Life Services is a Christian-based, not-for-profit organization founded in Ark City in 1984 that “is devoted to changing one life and saving another through the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” and is funded through churches and private contributors in the area.
Mills said Tuesday FLS also receives a small public grant from the State of Kansas.
Mills said FLS offers “non-diagnostic” sonograms.
