One of the key pieces to the Cowley College men’s soccer team, Yuki Sekiguchi, parlayed a stellar 2022 season with the Tigers into signing a letter of intent to continue playing collegiately at the University of Tulsa.

Sekiguchi was named a First-Team All-Conference selection after recording two goals and three assists this past season. He played a significant role in Cowley’s advancing to the semifinals of the 2022 national tournament.

“Yuki is a tremendous talent,” Cowley head coach Ruy Vaz said. “We were lucky to have him for a year, and I am proud of everything he has accomplished. He always does everything with a smile, and he does it well. We will miss him as he is a joy to be around.”

Sekiguchi will join a University of Tulsa soccer team that finished the 2022 season with a record of 10-5-1.

“Tulsa will get a top player, and I can’t wait to see how he will perform at the next level,” Vaz said.
