The Winfield High School boy’s tennis team gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about Friday at the Vaughan Tennis Center.
The Vikings captured a 4A regional championship and qualified all six players to state.
Junior Lane Dobbs and freshman Joshua Moore qualified for state in singles competition, while the doubles teams of sophomores Jackson Davis with Adam Everett and Mathew Norton — another sophomore — with junior Jackson Palmer also move on to the next level.
Dobbs is seeded second with a 19-12 record, while Davis/Everett are the top doubles seed with a 23-9 record.
State competition will begin Friday for WHS in Pratt at the Walter Blake Tennis Complex.
Ark City will be hosting state tennis in 5A.
