The Kansas Department of Transportation this week began a chip seal project from Williams Street in Udall east to U.S. 77, then north on U.S. 77 to the Butler County line. The project covers about 12 miles.
Drivers should expect flaggers and a pilot car guiding traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. Vehicle widths are restricted to 10 feet, 6 inches, and vehicles longer than 100 feet are prohibited while work is underway.
Weather permitting, the $680,000 project is expected to wrap up by the end of the month. KDOT is reminding motorists to slow down, stay alert and avoid using hand-held mobile devices in work zones. Continue below ad.
