Police in Ark City are continuing to look for a 19-year-old man suspected in a stabbing incident late Wednesday.
Benjamin Floyd Trimbath has been developed as a suspect in an investigation that began when Ark City Police were called to SCK Medical Center for the report of a stabbing victim. An altercation had occurred at the victim’s residence and resulted in injuries that required medical treatment.
Police were called to the hospital just after 11 p.m.
At the time of the incident, an 18-year-old female was also present at the residence. Trimbath is currently under bonding conditions that prohibit him from having contact with that woman.
Despite multiple attempts by law enforcement to locate Trimbath, he remains at large. The Arkansas City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in determining his whereabouts.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Arkansas City Police Department at (620) 441-4547. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through local crime reporting channels.
Online records show Trimbath was last in the Cowley County Jail on Jan. 21, after having been booked in on Jan. 15. He was released on his own recognizance.
