Advanced Voting Numbers Ahead Of 2018 Midterm Pace In Cowley County

Advanced voting participation in Cowley County is well ahead of 2018 midterm election numbers so far.

According to Cowley County Clerk Karen Madison Thursday, 855 people in Cowley County have voted early in the first three days of advanced voting at the clerk’s office in Winfield.

For comparison, 564 had voted early in the first three days of advanced voting in the 2018 midterm elections.

Advanced voting continues in Winfield today through 5 p.m. and all next week from 7:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.

Advanced voting at the Water Treatment Plant at 400 W. Madison in Ark City will begin Monday from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and the rest of the week from 7:30 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Drop boxes will be available for mailed ballots at 321 E. 10th in Winfield, by the clerk’s office, and at 119 S. Summit in Ark City by the county attorney’s office.

The Cowley County ballot features state races, including governor and secretary of state, a local state house seat race between Webster Roth and Kris Trimmer of Winfield, and a USD 465 bond question.
