A local man was injured Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident that occurred east of Ark City.
Around 8 a.m., 42-year-old Carl Smith was driving a black 1999 Kawasaki that left the roadway in the 29000 block of 141st Rd. It struck a rock embankment.
The motorcycle overturned multiple times and landed on top of Smith, who is from Ark City. He was transported to SCK Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Smith was then transported to a Wichita hospital for further care. An update on his condition was not immediately available.
