A man was arrested west of Ark City Tuesday evening on charges that included suspected arson.
According to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 2000 block of U.S. 166 at 7:28 p.m. where a fire in a tree row was discovered.
Joshua Woods, 37, of Oklahoma, was taken into custody on charges of arson, criminal trespass, battery on two law enforcement officers and interference with the judicial process.
Sheriff David Falletti told Cowley Post Wednesday morning a taser was deployed and that no deputies were injured.
