A U.S. 77 bridge repair project has started in Cowley County.
The Kansas Department of Transportation project is on U.S. 77 bypass over a railway southeast of Arkansas City. The work began Monday and is expected to be completed around Dec. 30.
During the work, traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction, and motorists should be prepared to slow down for the work zone.
The map below shows the approximate project location. PCI Roads, of St. Michael, Minnesota, is the primary contractor for the $1,192,103 project.
