A 20-year-old Ark City man was killed in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend near Dexter.
According to Cowley County Sheriff Dave Falletti Monday morning, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, Porter Gregory, was pronounced deceased at the scene, succumbing from his injuries in the accident.
Deputies were dispatched Saturday at approximately 12:05 p.m. to the 22000 block of Grouse Creek Road for the report of an injury accident.
Dexter First responders and Ark City Fire/EMS were also dispatched, Falletti said.
The investigation revealed that at some point Friday evening, a 2011 silver Ford F-150 driven by Gregory was traveling south bound and left the roadway and struck a culvert.
