Beginning this month, the City of Arkansas City will stream all City Commission meetings live on YouTube. Links to the live streams will also be shared on the City’s official Facebook page, making it easier than ever for residents to stay informed and engaged with local government.
Previously, City Commission meetings were hosted on the GoTo Meetings platform. Beginning in January, GoTo Meetings will no longer be used for City Commission meetings as the City transitions fully to YouTube for live streaming.
“This new initiative offers a convenient way for residents to follow discussions on community projects, infrastructure, and city policies from anywhere. By expanding access to meetings, the City aims to enhance transparency and encourage greater public involvement,” Communication Director, Shana Adkisson, said.
