Seattle-based coffee king Starbucks expects to open its Ark City location on Monday. The store will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Store manager Katrina Law said the store will open as scheduled Sept. 9, barring any unforeseen delays. The store is popular worldwide for its coffee drinks and food offerings.
On Wednesday, crews were inside working to unpack boxes and preparing to set up the Starbucks ordering system. Much coffee making equipment and other preparation equipment was already in place.
Starbucks replaces Hillcrest Lanes at 2400 N. Summit. The bowling alley was permanently closed at the end of 2023, after decades in operation.
The building was then razed and replaced with the new Starbucks building and its parking area.
Starbucks in Ark City is a corporately owned location that plans a soft opening Monday and a grand opening and ribbon cutting within the next few weeks.
