Cowley County Commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday for a budget work session expected to last well into the afternoon.
That session begins at 9 a.m. in the assembly room of the Cowley County Courthouse in Winfield. Commissioners will hear numerous presentations from area groups and county agencies and departments. A 30-minute lunch is part of the schedule.

Appropriations – CASA of Cowley County, Cowley County Historical Society, Cherokee Strip Museum, City Cowley Health Department, Council on Aging Reach, Extension Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Humane Society, Four County Mental Health, Cowley County Fair, Soil Conservation, REACH Infant Toddler Services.
External Agencies – Rural Fire Districts
Internal Agencies – County Clerk, County Treasurer, Administrative Services, Youth Services & Community Correction, Emergency Services, Register of Deeds, County Jail, County Attorney, Public Works, Community Developmental Disability Organization, Management Information Systems, Economic Development Partnership.
