Just before 1 p.m., the county equipment operator was involved in an accident while operating a tractor with a mower attachment near the intersection of 162nd and 281st Rds. The tractor lost traction on an embankment and rolled over, causing the employee to be ejected from the cab.

Emergency responders were immediately called to the scene, and the employee was airlifted to Wichita.
