Cowley College Machine Tool Students Tour Galaxy Technologies In Winfield

The Cowley College Machine Tool Technology class from the Sumner Campus in Wellington was on-site at Galaxy Technologies in Winfield Monday.

According to a news release from Cowley, Daniel Brooks, Cowley College Career and Technical Education instructor, brought five of his students to learn more about Galaxy’s machining and tooling profession.

Mike Kelly, Galaxy Technologies Director of Manufacturing, led the students throughout the shop to allow them to see tools running in real-time and to show them a variety of machines, including the Okuma, Fidia, and the company’s large Liné that measures 60 feet by 20 feet.
