Cowley College volleyball coach Steven Gream has brought home his second straight KJCCC Division 2 Volleyball Coach of the Year honor. It is his third time for the award in the past four years.

The Tigers have won 77 consecutive contests after winning the NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Plains District A Championship over Allen County last week.

Finishing KJCCC play with a perfect 10-0 record, Cowley dropped one set in conference play and has dropped just four sets all year in 36 matches. The Tigers will look to defend their NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball National Title next week in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Gream’s career record at Cowley is 303-46 and his overall coaching record is 535-184.

His 303 career wins at Cowley places him second all-time in Cowley history.

In related news, Laura Bonomi was selected KJCCC Most Valuable Player. This is the fourth year in a row that a Cowley player has been named Most Valuable Player for the KJCCC.

Bonomi is the conference leader in kills and kills per set.
