The Dam Jam Music Festival has announced plans to move its 2025 show to the Winfield Fairgrounds in July, organizers said in a statement released Monday.
Last year’s show was held at Lake Afton in Sedgwick County. Winfield offers the opportunity for upgraded facilities, more activities and lower camping prices, officials said.
The festival is scheduled for July 18 and 19. A musical lineup is to be announced soon.
The festival is entering a three-year partnership with the city of Winfield, which has played host to many musical festivals over the years, including September’s annual Walnut Valley Festival. Shaded camping areas, open-air grandstands and access to water for kayaking and swimming, were cited as benefits of the move to Winfield.
“We’re thrilled to call Winfield our new home,” said C.J, Wilson, President of A Production Company LLC. “The combination of great amenities, beautiful campgrounds, and a music-loving community ensures this year’s Dam Jam will be the best one yet. This move also allows us to grow the festival, bringing in more bands, more fans, and more opportunities to experience the magic of live music.”
The festival will feature 20 bands, beach parties, after parties and on-site activities. Continue story below ad.
Taggart Wall, Winfield City manager, said the festival will be a benefit to the community.
“The City of Winfield is excited to add the Dam Jam Music Festival to our established brand as a premier entertainment venue community,” Wall said. “Winfield loves live music. Our parks and public land infrastructure set our entertainment partners up for success with the open-air grandstands and tree-filled campgrounds. The Dam Jam Music Festival will enhance our tourism efforts and will make a significant economic impact as it grows in Winfield.”
