Belle Plaine native Dr. Danielle Corbett is set to join the team of physicians at SCK Health Primary Care in Ark City. The hospital made the announcement Wednesday.
She will start seeing patients locally Oct. 1.
Dr. Corbett graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Newman University before pursuing her MD at the KU School of Medicine in Wichita. She graduated from KU med in the 2020-2021 academic year.
She then completed her family medicine residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency in Salina.
“Being from Belle Plaine, I really wanted to go back to a rural community and practice a broad range of medicine,” Corbett said in a media release from SCK Health.
The move also brings her back closer to family.
“At SCK Health we want to provide our community with healthcare options to cover all their healthcare needs. With the upcoming arrival of Dr. Corbett, we can do just that. Everyone at SCK Health is excited to add Dr. Corbett to our healthcare community!”, said Chief Clinical Officer, Whitney Gilliland.
Corbett holds a special passion for women’s health but said she takes pride in serving patients of all genders and from various stages of life.
When she’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Corbett enjoys spending time with her husband and children. They like going on walks and spending quality time at the lake, whether it’s fishing, boating, or swimming. (Continue the story below ads.)
