Multiple injuries were reported as a result of a head on collision Wednesday evening on 101st Rd. just north of Winfield.
Radio traffic from the scene indicated one person was not breathing and two others were in critical condition. Updates as to the condition of those involved have not been made public thus far.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating and has so far released limited information.
A vehicle was southbound on 101st Rd. when it crossed the center line and collided with a northbound vehicle, according to the KHP report. The accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. just north of Winfield Correctional facility in the area of 101st and 146th Rds.
There is a curve in the road in this area.
Reports of the accident have indicated it was on N. College, which becomes 101st Rd. outside the Winfield city limits.
