A Las Vegas podiatrist is the newest full time specialist at SCK Health Specialty Clinic.
According to a press release from SCK Health of Ark City, Dr. Matthew Doxey will begin scheduling appointments on July 1.
“Doxey treats patients in all areas of foot care, including routine diabetic foot care, wound care, bunions, flat feet, sports injuries, and foot/ankle surgery,” the press release said. “Despite this broad area of expertise, Dr. Doxey knows that each patient is unique and is committed to providing customized treatment options for each patient.”
Doxey is a native of Las Vegas and completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. A
After completing his bachelor’s degree, he received his Doctorate in Podiatry from Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida, graduating in 2020. Doxey then completed a three-year surgical residency at the Southern Arizona Department of Veteran Affairs in conjunction with the University of Arizona Banner Medical Center.
While in residency, SCK Health says his training focused on forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstructive surgery as well as limb salvage procedures.
“I am excited to join SCK Health and serve the citizens of Cowley County,” Doxey said.
In his free time, Doxey enjoys being with his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, building furniture, and playing the guitar.
