A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 166, just east of S. Broadway Rd, sent a man to the hospital Wednesday morning, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
KHP said a 2026 International semi, driven by 56-year-old Lillie P. Henry of Dallas, Texas, was attempting a U-turn when its rear end remained partially in the eastbound lane of the highway and was struck by a 2005 Buick LeSabre driven by 73-year-old Marvin J. Stojakovic of Blackwell, Okla.
Henry was reported to have no apparent injuries. Stojakovic was taken to SCK Health in Ark City with suspected minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The accident occurred several miles west of Arkansas City near a familiar rest stop just off the Kansas Turnpike.
The Buick was removed by Strickland towing, according to KHP.
