A fireworks stand – operated by the student organization for Central Burden Schools USD 462 – was the victim of theft sometime after closing on Sunday.
District officials said via Facebook that more than $2,000 in fireworks were taken. Burden Police have been contacted and are investigating. Contact the police dept. or email [email protected] with any pertinent information.
The fireworks stand is operated by students at the park pavilion in Burden as a fundraiser. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through July 4.
