One Of Four Shooting Victims Found At Gasino Released From Wichita Hospital

One shooting victim discovered at 7 Clans Gasino north of Newkirk early Tuesday morning has been released from the hospital.

According to a news release from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday morning, the shooting victim, who has yet to be identified by authorities, was released from Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Three other shooting victims, also yet to be identified, are still receiving treatment.

Early Tuesday morning, the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Ark City Police Department, Kansas Highway Patrol, Kay County Sheriff’s Office, Otoe–Missouria Tribal Police and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, investigated a report of four individuals who were discovered with gunshot wounds at the 7 Clans Gasino north of Newkirk.

Two individuals were taken to Alliance Hospital in Ponca City and the other two were transported to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office believes the shooting occurred in rural Cowley County, according to information it has gathered in its ongoing investigation so far.
