A person was killed early Tuesday morning when a pickup truck struck a power pole on U.S. 160 highway near Oxford.
Around 3:10 a.m., Sumner County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of 160 just east of Oxford. They arrived to find a vehicle had struck a pole.
Through an investigation, it was determined that the driver lost control of a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup and overcorrected. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The deceased has been identified as Jesse Mashburn, 42, of Wellington, according to a report on Sumner NewsCow.
