U.S. 160 between Wellington and Winfield is expected to be closed for about six hours on Wednesday, Oct. 23, to allow for a wind farm crane to cross the highway. During that time, a detour will be in place.
Depending on the weather, the U.S. 160 closure will be from around 6 p.m. Wednesday to around 12 a.m.
The closure time will allow for construction and removal of a temporary pad to prevent damage to the highway.
During the closure, there will be a detour from U.S. 160 in Wellington, north on U.S. 81 to the K-53 junction, east on K-53 to K-15, southeast on K-15 to U.S. 77 and south on U.S. 77 to U.S. 160 in Winfield.
