Cowley County and the city of Winfield are seeking public input as they continue to formulate a plan to enhance safety on area streets and roads.

On Nov. 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Cowley County Courthouse in Winfield, a public meeting will be held to discuss a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. That includes programs and projects designed to save lives and reduce transportation safety risks.

The informational meeting is meant to give residents a chance to learn about, and contribute to, these safety enhancement efforts.

During the meeting, the Safe Streets for Cowley County Safety Task Force will present preliminary findings and gather further input from the community. The public is asked to share their thoughts and experiences. (Continue story below.)

Participation is sought from anyone who drives, bikes, walks, uses a wheelchair, relies on public transport or otherwise uses area streets and roads.
