Brandon Murphy-Ward, a Southwestern College Leadership student, will host a youth mental health session, led by Ark City Police Chief Eric Burr on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield.
There is no admission charge to attend.
According to a news release from SC, the session is intended for adults wanting to learn more about youth mental health and receive resources on how to handle a mental health situation.
Burr is also active with Suicide Prevention of Cowley County as well as promoting Hope Squads in area schools.
