SCK Health will move its Radio Lane Clinic to the hospital campus on Patterson Parkway this fall in what it described as a “decisive move to strengthen its financial foundation and ensure long-term sustainability.”
No layoffs are planned.
The move is expected to take place over the next three months with a final vacancy date of Sept. 28. CEO Margaret Grismer made the consolidation announcement Tuesday at an all-staff meeting.
SCK Health officials said moving the clinic is part of a broader overall effort to cut costs and streamline operations.
“This was not an easy decision,” said Grismer. “But it is a necessary one. Our Board of Trustees is committed to making proactive, responsible choices that will help secure the future of SCK Health and the care we provide to our community.”
The decision follows an earlier consolidation of the Summit Clinic and is expected to significantly reduce the costs associated with maintaining multiple locations. For patients, the change will offer the added convenience of accessing all SCK Health services in one centralized location.
From a financial standpoint, fully utilizing Patterson Parkway campus is a key step toward stability, hospital officials said. The property is on track to be paid off within the next four to four-and-a-half years, a milestone that would greatly enhance the hospital’s fiscal health and benefit the broader community.
Hospital officials also made mention of the nation’s wait on the outcome of the One Big Beautiful Bill currently under debate in the U.S. legislature—a bill that could have sweeping implications for rural healthcare. SCK Health, they said, remains committed to transparency and resilience.
“As board members of the SCK Health Foundation, your role as ambassadors is more important than ever,” Grismer said in a message to board members. “We appreciate your continued support and dedication to our mission.”
