A fatality accident, involving multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle, occurred a few miles west of Winfield on U.S. 160 highway this morning.
Sometime before 7 a.m., the accident was reported and the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. responded. The Kansas Highway Patrol CHART team is on scene.
As of 8:30 a.m., the Kansas Dept. of Transportation was continuing to divert traffic and had closed a small portion of 160. More information was expected to be released later in the day.
One person was confirmed dead, according to Cowley County Sheriff David Falletti.
