Sheriff: Multiple people are injured in morning crash near Udall on Friday

Multiple people were injured early Friday when a pickup struck a minivan that was stopped in the roadway with no lights on.

Around 4:45 this morning, Cowley County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the 2000 block of K-15 highway near Udall.

A red 2009, Toyota Sienna, driven by Hamal Goma, was stationary in the southbound lane of the roadway without any lights, according to a sheriff’s office report. A red 2011, Ford F-150, driven by Jose Velasquez, was traveling southbound on K-15 and rear-ended the Toyota. Continue story below ad.

Three occupants of the Toyota were transported to Wesley Medical Center. They have not been identified by name. At least one person was in critical condition, according to Sheriff David Falletti.

Velasquez declined treatment by EMS.
