Southwestern College will host a career fair in Winfield Thursday.
The event will be held in the keyhole drive, located below the 77 Steps, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m.
Lori Carselowey, Director of Career Services at Southwestern College, encourages the community to come to the event because of the many opportunities it will provide.
“What is so great about this is that within each agency that will be at the career fair, opportunities in such fields as marketing, communication, technical writing, business, accounting, health and wellness, science, education, and many others will exist,” Carselowey said in a new release from the college.
The following agencies will be at the fair:

· Kansas Highway Patrol
· Arkansas City Police Department
· Arkansas City Fire Department
· Cowley County Emergency Management
· City of El Dorado
· City of Andover
· Rose Hill Fire Department
· Internal Revenue Service Investigation Unit
· Winfield Correctional Facility
· Kansas Department of Corrections
· Sedgwick County Corrections
Snacks at the event may be purchased at the Stir N Bustle coffee shop located in the Deets Library.
