Cowley College’s main campus in Ark City was the site of a Job and Transfer Fair inside Cowley College’s Earle N. Wright Community Room Wednesday.
According to a news release from the college Thursday, participating employers were The Arnold Group, Arkansas City Police Department, Arkansas City Fire Department, Presbyterian Manor, City of Winfield, Clock Medical Supply, Creekstone Farms, Galaxy Technologies, Four County Mental Health, Rock and Brews Casino, S&Y Industries, SCK Health, Silgan Dispensing Systems, Triumph, Webster Combustion, and Western Industries.
Greg Butler, Cowley College Workforce & Career Specialist, said the event was a success and very well attended.
“Students and the public were lined up to meet future employers and start making their transfer decisions,” Butler said. “We even had a bus of local high school students come to the event, and we were able to share the value of Cowley College. The feedback from the vendors was also very positive.”
The Workforce Center’s new location is at 221 West Chestnut in Ark City.
