Suspect remains in custody after pursuit and Taser incident near Udall Saturday

A 35-year-old woman remained in the Cowley County Jail Tuesday following a weekend pursuit near Udall that led to her arrest.

Samantha R. Socey was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. Her bond is set at $27,700.

Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person in the 6000 block of K-15 Highway. The incident then developed into a vehicle pursuit, according to Sheriff David Falletti.

Authorities eventually made contact with Socey and a Taser was used to subdue her. She was then taken into custody.

Booking charges include attempting to flee and elude, aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement, no vehicle registration, criminal damage to property and reckless driving.
