(Family has corrected to say the child was one.) ATLANTA, KS – A 1-year-old girl was resuscitated and taken to a Wichita hospital late Wednesday after she fell into a swimming pool.
A little after 9 p.m., the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to the 600 block of Locust in Atlanta for the report of an unresponsive person. It was quickly determined to be a call involving a child, not breathing, who required immediate medical attention.
CPR was performed by Atlanta EMS and the child then became responsive. Winfield Fire-EMS transported the girl to Wesley Medical Center for further treatment.
An update on her condition was not immediately available.
