U.S. Rep. Ron Estes visited Winfield Middle School Wednesday.
According to USD 465, the Wichita-based Republican, whose district includes Cowley County, toured several WMS classrooms.
The school district said the visit was arranged by WMS Social Studies teacher Jay Buffum, who interned for Estes’ congressional office several years ago.
“The Congressman talked with students about how our system of government operates and why voting is important,” USD 465 said.
