The Southwestern College men’s basketball team jumped five spots in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll.

The undefeated 11-0 Builders were ranked No. 6 in the country in Wednesday’s poll. SC was previously ranked 11th.

Southwestern started the month in a big way with a win at then-No. 4 Oklahoma Wesleyan in Bartlesville Dec. 2. The Moundbuilder followed that victory with wins vs Bethel and at Friends in Wichita over the weekend, where senior Cevin Clark took the top spot in all-time 3-pointer makes in school history.

Clark, the Ark City High School and Cowley College alum, made his 243rd trey in the win at Friends — eclipsing Andrew Hamm’s career SC record of 242. Clark is averaging 26.9 points per game — second most in the nation.

The Builders are scoring 91.9 points per game — ninth in the country.

Oklahoma Wesleyan (10-1) dropped four spots to No. 8.

Only one team in the Top 25 has more wins than SC. Cuberlands, out of Kentucky, is 12-0 and ranked 12th. Florida College — ranked 25th — is the only other 11-win team in the latest poll.
