Dr. Janet Doud is one of four finalists being considered for the superintendent position in Arkansas City USD 470.
Doud currently serves as assistant superintendent in Augusta USD 402. Her background also includes time as a middle school principal, high school assistant principal, English language learner specialist and school counselor.
She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Southwestern College.
District officials say Doud has helped lead school redesign efforts, strengthen student support systems and played a key role in the passage and implementation of a $55 million bond.
Colleagues describe her as collaborative and focused on student achievement.
