Arkansas City Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday at the roundabout in the 1200 block of East Kansas Avenue.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Ford Transit van driven by Kenneth Bowen of Ponca City entered the roundabout from the south and failed to yield to a vehicle already traveling in the roundabout. The van struck a passenger vehicle driven by Johnathan Clements of Arkansas City, causing the van to roll into the center median.
Bowen was evaluated at the scene by Arkansas City Fire/EMS personnel and later transported to South Central Kansas Medical Center with minor injuries. He was later released. No other injuries were reported.
Bowen was cited for failure to yield.
The Arkansas City Police Department continues to review the incident.
