The Winfield Community Theater is hosting a Homesteader’s BBQ fundraiser this Saturday at the Winfield Public Library.
The event will be held on the back patio of the library beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12.50 for children under 12.
They are available from cast and crew or by visiting Terry and Melody’s Daylight Donuts Shop on Main in Winfield. Food served that day includes pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, meaty baked beans and blondies and brownies with ice cream. Lemonade, water and ice tea will be available to drink.
Funds raised will help to pay for the production of WCT’s upcoming performance of Little House on the Prairie the Musical. Money raised will also be used to help the community theater rebuild its reserves following the pandemic.
Saturday’s fundraiser will include a preview of the musical and a square dancing performance. An autoharp performance is also scheduled for that night. (Continue story below ads.)
On Monday’s Get Up And Go Show on 95.9 Bob FM, theater president Melody Krueger said those attending the benefit can expect to see some characters in costume.
“We want everyone to come out and have a lot of fun,” Krueger said.
Tickets to the musical will be available at the fundraiser.
