Mychael Tripp – head coach of the Winfield High School basketball team – has been placed on administrative leave. An investigation into his conduct is pending.
The school district issued the following statement when contacted by Cowley Post Wednesday:
“This employee is employed through USD 465. Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to share more details; due to confidentiality laws and our district’s commitment to the privacy of our staff and our students.”
An interim coach has been named, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.
