Republican state Sen. Larry Alley, of Winfield, has announced he will seek another term in the Kansas Legislature. Alley has served in the senate since 2017.
He is the current majority leader in the senate and represents the 32nd Dist. Alley announced his reelection campaign through an email released through his campaign on Friday.
“It is with great excitement and anticipation that I file for re-election today. I look forward to continuing my efforts to work with the citizens of South-Central Kansas to make our state a better place to live and work,” he said in the email. “I fully intend to build upon the progress we have achieved and keep advocating for positive change in Topeka.”
Aside from serving as majority leader, his tenure has included serving as chairman of the senate committee on federal and state affairs and vice-chairman of the education committee.
District 32 spans much of the state’s southern edge, including all of Barber, Comanche, Harper, and Sumner Counties, as well as parts of Cowley, Kingman, and Sedgwick Counties.
